Fairfield County's Ruby & Bella's in Greenwich opened its doors just a couple of months ago and is quickly becoming one of the "it" places to go to escape the cold with a cocktail and a bite to eat.
Inside the SakWorks Club on Greenwich Avenue, the restaurant is open to the public and features a laid-back, but semi-fancy decor that draws diners in for a relaxing lunch or dinner.
Known for the superb service, and local and seasonal ingredients, the menu is small but features a little something for everyone.
Menu favorites by reviewers include the aforementioned tuna tartare, the jumbo lump crabcake, the lobster club, and bone-in filet mignon and a skirt steak served with a quail egg and fried rice.
Cocktail concoctions are also a hit, with many mentioning the hot toddy made with Laphroaig for after dinner, the high fashion, and an espresso martini.
A must-have for dessert is the Chocolate pot De Crème.
The wait staff is well versed in the menu and are happy to make suggestions as well as split dinners for those who like to share plates.
Prices are moderate to high.
The restaurant is located at 265 Greenwich Ave., Greenwich.
